...Our Worship
We
worship every Sunday at 8:00 AM. and 10:30 AM. We offer Holy Communion at both services on
the 1st and 3rd Sundays and on church Festivals. Entry to our sanctuary is accessible to
the physically challenged, and to wheelchairs. |
Christian Education …
A
"Children's time " portion of our worship happens during each service. Children
receive a special message about their life in God's kingdom, and have a chance to interact
as they share God’s message.
At
9:15 every Sunday morning (September – May) we offer Christian Education classes for
ages PreK – Adult. Children participate in
Bible study, crafts, singing, and more. Our young adults study current issues as they
relate to the Gospel. Our adult class studies
books of the Bible, as well as current issues.
Confirmation
classes are offered for those in 7th-8th grade to study the Bible
and the Catechism in preparation for adult membership in the congregation. |

... Our Congregation
In
January 2002 we celebrated our 150th anniversary as a congregation. We had former members and pastors from all over
come “home” that day and help us celebrate!
God
has called us to carry forward with his ministry in worship and in service to others as we
gather and are sent forth as the people of God. We
have a present and future to celebrate!
You
are always welcome at Zion – member visitor, we’re glad to have you worship with
us and celebrate with us God’s blessings in our lives.

You
are Invited ...
We
are excited about God’s blessings in our lives, and would love to share that joy with
you.. The entire congregation invites you to join us for worship and fellowship any
time – there’s something here for EVERYONE!

Can I Take Communion?
Yes. All baptized
believers who receive communion in their home congregation, are welcome to receive the
gift of His body and blood. For those who prefer, we furnish white grape juice on each
communion tray. We invite those who are unable to come forward to please let an usher
know, and the Pastor will commune you in your pew.
How Does One Become A
Member of Zion Lutheran Church?
We will never pressure
you to join as a member. It is much more important that you be in church worshipping than
to have your name on a list somewhere.
If, however, membership
is something you would like, we would welcome you to be an active member of our church
family.
We believe that Zion is
a good place to worship and be encouraged in our faith. If membership at Zion would
interest you, please let our Pastor know and we will arrange a convenient time to visit
with you.
How To Find Us:
From San Antonio, travel
West on Highway U.S. 90. Turn RIGHT at the 3rd red light next to the Broadway Bank. You
